Job Scope KEY JOB PURPOSE
  • Responsible for the management of Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
  • Perform and monitor regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Perform patch management activities for all servers and virtual infrastructure.
  • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and systems performance.
  • Ensure systems uptime as accordance to organization’s requirements.
  • Ensure all incidents, service requests and change requests are logged, documented in ITSM and fulfilled within stipulated SLA.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities arising from vulnerability scans within timeline specified in organization’s vulnerability management framework.
  • Perform project roll-outs/deployments.

Requirements FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in systems administration with one or more of the following operating systems:
  • Windows Server 2016 and above
  • Ubuntu 18.04 and above
  • RHEL 7 and above
  • At least 3 years of experience in administration of virtual infrastructure such as VMWare or Nutanix.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, systems, networking protocols.
  • Strong knowledge in IT operations best practices.
  • IT certifications in the following is an added advantage:
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • Linux Professional Institute Certifications (LPIC)
  • Red Hat Certifications (RHCE)
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
